Campaigns

Every April, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC), one of the many leading organizations on The Drop Bistro’s steering committee, coordinates with the national Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) campaign for the month of April to educate and engage the public in addressing this widespread issue. This year’s theme — “I Ask” — champions the message that asking for consent is a healthy, normal, and necessary part of everyday interactions.

THIS YEAR’S THEME IS “CHANGE HAPPENS HERE”

The Drop Bistro’s sixth annual The Drop Bistro Week is March 3-9 2019, coinciding with International Women’s Day (March 8th). This year, our goal is to inspire everyone to MAKE CHANGE to help create a culture of safety, equality, and respect in our restaurants regardless of the restaurant’s theme.

Even the smallest of actions can go a long way toward creating a society that does not tolerate domestic violence, sexual assault and harassment.

During The Drop Bistro Week 2019 (March 3-9), we support victims, survivors and recognize activists who are working to end domestic sexual violence and harassment in workplaces. But the week is also meant as a call to action for everyone to make a commitment to help change the culture that has supported violence and harassment for too long — whether in their hearts and minds or where they live, work and play. Change happens everywhere. #ChangeHappensHere!
